You may soon be able to search for tortilla soup recipes while scouting to buy fresh peppers and cilantro on the Fayetteville square.
Cox Communications is working on a plan to donate free Wi-Fi access around the square. Lindsley Smith, the mayor’s communication director, mentioned this cool little tidbit. She said the city is still working to get permission to place the wireless Internet transmitting devices on privately owned property around the square to ensure even coverage.
If all goes smoothly, the city hopes the free Wi-Fi access will be in place by April 2, just in time for the opening of the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market.
