Identity, Freedom, Choice
The full moon, Leo solar festival, is Saturday around noon (Pacific time). Leo calls us to a self-identity, which then allows us to choose, in this worldwide critical time, which side we support, the side of the retrogressive forces (dark) or the side of evolution (Light).
It’s been a difficult astrological few weeks. The United States is experiencing Saturn return (Saturn in Libra). Saturn, Dweller on the Threshold, points out personality hindrances (materialism) obstructing Spiritual work. This is occurring to everyone as well as to the United States. We (individuals, citizens, the US) must address the Dweller in order to safeguard our future.
The US (transits/natal chart) is experiencing extreme instability, positioned precariously between dark and light, with great opportunities ahead should the Dweller be addressed. Those of us living in the US make up a great part of this volatile transformative situation. During this month of Leo, we are Arjuna faced with choosing one side or the other. But first we must identify who we are – a Leo task. Right identity leads to freedom and right choice. It’s important to know that we are Divine; made of stars and angels and bits of Earth. ARIES: It would be good to study the purpose of our solar system’s evolution (esoterically) – the unfoldment of consciousness here on Earth – how it occurs, why, and our behaviors when conscious (awake, aware and Soul directed). Knowing these things creates the freedom to express your true self. This in turn helps you to identify as one who serves humanity. Key: you need a group.
TAURUS: You have been attempting to create new environments that nurture humanity’s future. You know we must turn our attention to new ways of growing (catching, finding, preparing, etc.) food. Your love for humanity combines with your great intelligence which produces a fertile ground for birthing new ideas needed for humanity’s well-being. You guard them carefully and secretly. Call for others to assist you.
GEMINI: If you look at your life you will see great dualities occurring. Dualities produce self-awareness. When you’re self-aware, you attempt to blend opposing forces into a synthesis. You are Mercury, messenger of the gods, vehicle of communication. When speaking with Right Attitude and from your heart, you create, for others to emulate, Right Human Relations. This anchors love in the world and beauty is formed.
CANCER: At times you’re self-conscious, attempting to hide under your shell like a tortoise or a scarab, a holy creature signifying rebirth. There’s a turtle here that, in the heat of the day, comes to the door of a house and waits patiently for the door to open. He enters the house and rests awhile in the cool dark shadowy corners. After an hour or so he retraces his steps and waits patiently once more for the door to open. Refreshed, he re-enters the world. You are like that turtle.
LEO: To many you are often a “field of fire”, filled with fiery intentions, the fiery will to be seen and heard, understood, praised, recognized and known. What most people don’t realize is that you hide the Will, the Spirit of Life itself. You can be called narcissistic, a mirror gazer, one focused on the self alone. Some of us, however, know that you are learning how to lead, how to rule and that you stumble along, falling, most of the time. How can we help you?
VIRGO: So often, your actions are misunderstood. Virgos. No matter what they are doing, no matter what others think, Virgos always seek to dissolve boundaries so that everyone exists in one universal state of consciousness. Virgos must realize that everyone carries a different light (or darkness) and each person is aspiring to be the “water bearer”. Tend to the light within – the gestation of a new life birthed at winter solstice.
LIBRA: You’re developing a sense of self on your own. Without this step, you would feel controlled by others. Now no one is controlling you. Libra looks to others for a sense of self. Relationships define Libras. As they juxtapose self to the “other”, a Libra sense of self comes forth. Human contact releases Love/Wisdom within Libra. We must let them be, allow them to sort out realities and achieve independence. Then they are exalted.
SCORPIO: Scorpio is known for depth of feeling, being alone and isolated (at times). To proceed on the evolutionary (back to spirit) path, Scorpios must develop the higher mind (education), which can distribute the Plan of God to the world. In other words, Scorpios must withstand the heat of the Sun while standing on the mountaintop, collect the light and manifest it on Earth. You are to reveal through this light, all the mysteries you’ve encountered. In this life or the next.
SAGITTARIUS: The life of a Sag reveals so many influences at work. Both the higher and lower selves attempting fusion. When this fails, questioning and confusion erupt. During Leo, the diffused light in Cancer (nurturing, birth, waters of life, gate into matter) becomes the focused light of the Soul. To fuse and balance your personality with the Soul (ending confusion), recite the Soul invocation daily (ceaselessly). “I am the Soul. I am Light Divine. I am Love. I am Will. I am Fixed Design.” Because you know you’re not your body, emotions, or lower mind.
CAPRICORN: Whenever there is conflict (everywhere on Earth), something is being learned; harmony is being disrupted so a new harmony can emerge. Perhaps you experience inner conflict between personal aspirations and need and those of others. You find yourself always reorienting your needs so the “little ones” are nurtured. Actually you’re a mentor for others to transform and stand in a state of grace…where you stand, always.
AQUARIUS: You’re in an interlude in order to balance, consider and choose your next creative outlet. This isn’t a time for excessive interactions. It’s a time to modify your energies, focusing on your creative use of the Will. As you hold opposing forces in check you achieve a position of balance. Explaining this to others standing on the “razor’s edge,” you lead the way down the mountain to safety.
PISCES: A love-filled state will seem to have filled your mind and heart this month. The Sun itself expresses itself through your abilities and devotion to work through any necessary difficulties, disharmony and/or strife all of which produce within you a new state of harmony. Home is where we find you. Wherever you are, a sense of expanded home is found. You radiate healing and wholeness. However, everyone will not understand this. Have courage.
