▲ Parade of Pearls — 2 p.m. Friday, March 4, City Hospital. The Demented Krewe sponsors the Parade of Pearls at the long-term care facility in Fayetteville for the benefit of the residents. If you would like to join in, call 236-4794.
▲ Fat Saturday Parade of Fools — 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5, downtown Fayetteville. Costumes, floats and beads in a family friendly environment. The parade begins at the Square, goes north on Block, then west on Dickson Street and south on West Avenue, ending across from the Walton Arts Center. Demented Krewe and Krewe of Olympia both participating.
▲ Masquerade of Fools/The Funkytown Ball — at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 5, East Square Plaza. Adults-only evening of costumes, music, dancing and festivity. $10 at the door. Music by The Sarah Hughes Band and Snake Eyes and the Bug Band.
▲ Fat Tuesday on Dickson Street — 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8. Festivities begin about 7 p.m. at Jose’s. Crowning of the royalty of the Demented Krewe of Dickson about 8 p.m. Demented Krewe and Krewe of Olympia parades with the Billy Zydeco Band through sponsoring clubs on Dickson Street.
