Memphis Pencils get a $300 boost for CD

Art Amiss is awarding a $300 grant to Fayetteville band Memphis Pencils to help them professionally master their new album.

According to Art Amiss, the band has been performing in Fayetteville and around the region for several years as well as making an appearance at the CMJ Music Marathon and engaging in an east coast tour. Art Amiss is a Fayetteville-based artist collective with the “expressed purpose of giving opportunities to emerging artists living in or working from Arkansas.” The group takes grant proposals from musicians, visual artists, fashion designers and writers.
