You should soon be able to search the web while scouting for fresh foods on the Fayetteville square. Cox Communication’s donation of free Wi-Fi is on target to begin April 2 for the opening of the Fayetteville Farmer’s Market.

In addition, the city’s parks and rec division has been installing electrical outlets near benches. Plug in that laptop — power to the people.

There’ll be a bit o’ festivities in front of the Town Center to celebrate the hotspot. Mayor Lioneld Jordan will speak at 10 a.m. Cox will be giving out free hot dogs beginning at 10:30 a.m.
