Frankie Kelly
Musician Frankie Kelly, 87, of Fayetteville, died on March 13. Frankie was well known for his fiddle playing and songwriting and also shared his skills with many young fiddle players. Early in his career he played with Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys before he formed his own band, the Arkansas Playboys, and later the band High Country. In the 1990s he was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Northwest Arkansas Music Awards and was inducted into the Sacramento Western Swing Hall of Fame.
