Martin Luther King III, human rights activist and oldest son of Martin Luther King Jr., will speak at 7 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Fayetteville Town Center.
His visit will coincide with the week-long celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.’s life.
The younger King served as leader of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference from 1997 to 2004 and founded the nonprofit coalition Realizing the Dream to help end poverty in the U.S. and to campaign for peace and human rights internationally.
The speech is part of the University of Arkansas Distinguished Lecture Series.
The lecture is free, open to the public, and no tickets are necessary.
