Last Night Fayetteville Launches Volunteer, Community Giving Program

Last Night FayettevilleBy Terrah Baker

Last Night Fayetteville is partnering with local organization Spare Time in an effort to gain volunteers and give back to the community. The initiative is called the Community Ticket Program, and will provide 78 tickets to Life Styles and Youth Bridge once all 78 volunteer spots listed on gosparetime.com — that usually run for two-hour time slots — are filled.

“So they’re not only helping at the event, and attending for free, they’re also helping other members in the community get tickets,” said Last Night Fayetteville organizer Lauren Embree. “It’s an easy way to get in and enjoy the evening for free.”

When she saw that Spare Time was working with Matt Miller Studios to roll out REfresh Fayetteville — a project working to provide more community art — she knew she had found a way to keep better track of the large number of volunteers that make the evening possible. It’s been one of Spare Time’s largest projects since their roll out several months ago.

To volunteer, visit gosparetime.com and click Browse Projects to find Last Night Fayetteville. Choose from one of 10 volunteer opportunities that offer a free ticket into the event, along with other items like a long-sleeve t-shirt and green room access, depending on the position.
