New Attractions In Eureka Springs
A new tour of Eureka Springs takes the curious on a look at where the mountain village began. The Downtown Underground Tour offers tour-goers a chance to explore what lies hidden beneath the streets, sidewalks and buildings of downtown. Tickets are available at the kiosk in Basin Spring Park. The cost is $12 or $25 for families. Children younger than 16 are free with a paid adult.
After a four-year, multimillion-dollar total restoration, the Queen Anne Mansion Museum will reopen for tours May 1. The historic mansion was originally built in Carthage, Mo. After a century on Missouri soil, preservationists dismantled it, board-by-board and stone-by-stone, and put it back together on a mountaintop near the entry to downtown Eureka Springs at 115 W. Van Buren St. A grand opening is scheduled for June.
