Facebook and Twitter are the great soapboxes of our current society. We use the free media outlets, share photos, videos, quotes, songs and sometimes scripture when we feel so inclined to back up our own beliefs or, as is more often the case, to justify them.
A Purrfect Deal
The Fayetteville Animal Shelter hopes to continue its success finding homes for cats with a “name your price” promotion. From now to Aug. 25, cats can be adopted for a minimum $5, and they will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated and implanted with a microchip.

Parking Shuffle
Awhile back, the Fayetteville City Council approved another tweak to the pay parking system. That tweak — event parking — will get its first test Saturday evening, July 9 during the Walton Arts Center presentation of “Guys and Dolls.”
