Talk To The Mayor
Jordan to hold Town Hall Meeting Monday, Sept 28
Mayor Lioneld Jordan will hold a Town Hall Meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the Fayetteville Boys & Girls Club, 560 N. Rupple Road in west Fayetteville.
The town hall meeting is an opportunity for residents to learn more about local government and to ask questions about programs and policies of city government.
Jordan will be joined by several city department heads, including finance director Paul Becker, who will provide information about city finances; city engineer Chris Brown, who will discuss Mount Comfort Road and Garland Avenue projects; development services director Jeremy Pate, who will discuss residential codes; parks and recreation director Connie Edmonston, who will discuss Bryce Davis Park and Red Oak Park; and Police Chief Greg Tabor, who will discuss police response times. The mayor and chief of staff Don Marr will provide a review of stimulus funding.
The last 30 minutes of the meeting will be devoted exclusively to questions from the audience.
“I encourage you to come to the town hall meeting,” Jordan said in a statement. “I want to listen to your ideas and concerns, provide information, and learn from you as to ideas that will make Fayetteville even stronger than it is now.”
Jordan has said that he will conduct town hall meetings in the different wards throughout the year. The Boys & Girls Club meeting is in Ward 4.
