Honors Fayetteville
Singing: “Take me down to the very last city where the grass is green and the trees are pretty …”
OK, maybe not, but the Arbor Day Foundation has again named the Fville as a Tree City USA Community — 16 years running, yo!
The tree-enhanced city also received the Growth Award for environmental improvement and better tree care.
From the city’s news release:
“John Rosenow, chief executive and founder of the Arbor Day Foundation, stated that Fayetteville has made ‘a strong commitment to planting and caring for trees, and we applaud their efforts.’”
