Fayetteville Film Festival This Weekend

Seedling Film Association (SFA) will be hosting the second annual Offshoot Film Fest — four days of films, education, and fun held today through Sunday in the Global Campus building on the Fayetteville square at 2 East Center St. This event includes more than 120 films from around the globe and brings together an eclectic mix of world-renowned filmmakers and artists, professional arts educators, esteemed members of the community, as well as students and film lovers from across the region. Individual screening/workshop tickets are $7 each and weekend passes are $35. Both are available on the website, www.seedlingfilm.com, or at the door.

SFA is a nonprofit organization that is passionate about growing an independent film network within the NWA community. For those of you who can’t make every show, consider dropping in for one of these local films: “The Natural State” (8:30 p.m. Friday), “25K” (10 p.m. Friday), “Injury Slight, Please Advise” (3 p.m. Saturday). Some other highlights include: “Karaoke Man” (7 p.m. today), “Virgin Alexander” (7 p.m. Saturday), and “Moment of Truth: The Andy Myers Story” (4:30 p.m. Sunday).
