Improv To Benefit Mabrey Family

TheatreSquared has canceled the staged reading of “The Poe Show” for 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 21 following the death of performer Sean Phillip Mabrey.

Mabrey died Sunday as the result of a vehicular accident on Interstate 40. He had appeared in TheatreSquared’s 2010 Arkansas New Play Fest and the production of “Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some).”

In a news release, TheatreSquared, Dan’s Party, and Phunbags Comedy Improv said ticket sales from the Improv Showcase at 9 p.m. Saturday will benefit Mabrey’s family. He was a founding member of Dan’s Party. Tickets for the showcase are $10.
