WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. – Country legend Ronnie Milsap is set to perform a free show at 10 p.m. Nov. 11 at Seven inside Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs.

Throughout the past four decades, Milsap has continually soared to the top of the country charts. He has earned six Grammy awards and charted 40 country No. 1 hits, ranking him third behind George Strait and Conway Twitty.

The North Carolina native’s career began in 1969, when he played keyboards on Elvis Presley’s, “Kentucky Rain” and sang harmony on “Don’t Cry Daddy.”

Within five years, Milsap earned stardom with his first No. 1 single “Pure Love,” which helped him win his first of three CMA awards for Male Vocalist of the Year. That same year, Milsap claimed his first Grammy for “Please Don’t Tell Me How the Story Ends,” which was written by Kris Kristofferson.

In the ’70s, Milsap topped the country charts more than a dozen times, including “(I’m a) Stand By My Woman Man,” “What a Difference You’ve Made in My Life” and “It Was Almost Like a Song.” In 1975, he won the CMA Album of the Year for “A Legend in My Time.”

In 1976, Milsap joined the Grand Ole Opry, and in 1977 scored three major CMA victories for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for “Ronnie Milsap Live.”

Between 1980 and 1983, Milsap had 11 more consecutive No. 1 hits, including  “Smoky Mountain Rain,” “I Wouldn’t Have Missed It For the World,” and “Any Day Now.”

Milsap is currently on tour in support of his latest two-CD set, “Then Sings My Soul,” which debuted in the top 20 on Billboard’s country music chart.
