Appreciate the nod.

If this magazine knew anything about the “local Music Scene” They would have realized that Solomon’s Vine is a Red Dirt Rock/Country band. Not a Hippy Jam Band.
March 16th, 2007 at 8:21 am
Despite their Original Music and packed audiences, I fail to see how anyone could keep putting “Solomon’s Vine” in the wrong category year after year. Although I’m glad to see them listed as nominees; Please —- Rethink how they are listed!!
March 16th, 2007 at 1:00 pm
Isn’t about time the Fayetteville Free Weekly created a category for “Best Producer” and/or “Best Engineer” for their work with local artists?
For God’s sake, at least create a generic “Best Recording Studio” category. These local studios bust their asses around here for peanuts.
March 16th, 2007 at 3:42 pm
that’s real classy there, ‘qland.’ maybe a tantrum will get you nominated next year.
March 16th, 2007 at 10:52 pm
CONGRATS TO THE MAUD CRAWFORD BOYS!! THEIR HARD WORK AND DEDICATION SHOWS AT EACH SHOW! IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THESE BOYS LIVE, CHECK THEM OUT AT THE GYPSY MARCH 30TH!
March 17th, 2007 at 1:37 pm
I would be SO PIST if I was Solomon’s Vine cuz obviously their flagrant miscategorization among the NWAMA nominees is the one thing standing between them and a billion dollar record contract. TAKE THIS INJUSTICE TO THE STREETS AND RIOT! OI OI

Is Jed Clampit still a part of Fayetteberg’s music scene? Did he ever grow as a musician?
Up here in Indianapolis Henry Lee Summer plays twice a week at the same bar; and is better today than he was 15 years ago.

We appreciate the nomination.
March 20th, 2007 at 7:31 pm
We are happy to be nominated this year. We feel a little out of place, but appreciate the nod.
March 20th, 2007 at 8:41 pm
The members of Qland should be handed the award for Best Rock Band right now. I applaud them for their comment, that’s the most ‘rock and roll’ thing I have seen or heard in months!
March 20th, 2007 at 8:46 pm
Hey guys, thanks for the nomination for male vocalist! One quick note, my name is spelled incorrectly, it is Justin Brasher, not Brashears. If you guys could change it for the balloting, I would appreciate it. Thanks again, and good luck to all!
March 21st, 2007 at 12:46 pm
How about a nod to G Spot? You do have a Jam Band category.
March 21st, 2007 at 2:00 pm
Qland, this is an awards show for talent… You guys suck. The only place you play is TonyC’s, and you lead man is a twag. Cut your losses would be my suggestion…
March 21st, 2007 at 3:20 pm
heeeey NAMA’s! thanks for the nod!

I think if the NAMA board would check out more of the local music scene, they would realize there are A LOT of categories that need to be added! There are so many good local musicians/bands that are only not included, but don’t even fit into any of the above categories!
March 21st, 2007 at 10:52 pm
Solomon’s Vine under Jam/Funk? Which individual made that decision? I have Solomon’s Vine CD Heartbreak Radio. It’s probably the best CD I own to date, but Funk it is not. Someone needs to learn what Funk music is.

Maud Crawford ROCKS! They get my vote anytime for Best Group Music Award
March 22nd, 2007 at 8:41 am
You know I’m very suprized Without a Whisper did not get nominated…. Have you been to one of their recent shows at Georges? Along with Silverstone, they packed the house! I’m pretty sure they are playing Spring Fest again, April 21st. I can’t wait!!!
March 23rd, 2007 at 8:35 am
I’d like to vote for Maud Crawford for best Country/Bluegrass band. After my stroke I’m not worth a Damn on the computer. thanks
March 23rd, 2007 at 12:39 pm
Who the hell is Qland anyway?
March 23rd, 2007 at 3:02 pm
Thank you so much for the nominations! We’re happy to be in such talented company.
March 27th, 2007 at 12:17 pm
I appreciate you! Thanks for the nomination!

Just wanted to give 2 big thumbs up to MaudCrawford for the nomination! Great Job boys! Keep that rockin’ music comin!
March 29th, 2007 at 1:37 pm
Yeah, another comment: Silverstone is probably the lamest band in Fayetteville. Like Qland, their lead guy is a total tool. I have never heard a band do Creed covers until I saw Silverstone. God! it was shitty.
March 29th, 2007 at 9:18 pm
I WAS JUST CURIOUS? I HAVE POSTED 2 GREAT COMMENTS AND THEY HAVE NEVER SHOWN UP? IS IT MY COMPUTER OR DO YOU SELECT WHAT IS POSTED? HELL IF THAT’S THE CASE…
March 30th, 2007 at 9:05 am
My vote is for DJ SoulFree!!
April 4th, 2007 at 1:21 pm
You need to check out Half Scorpio!
April 9th, 2007 at 9:53 pm
WITHOUT A WHISPER should have an equal shot at NAMA. I don’t think they were even considered, which is rediculious seeing as their live show is so powerful. Check them Out!!!
April 9th, 2007 at 9:55 pm
How do you get nominated for NAMA??
April 9th, 2007 at 9:56 pm
WITHOUT A WHISPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
April 12th, 2007 at 7:52 am

so some secret society makes the nominations? why is there not more publicity for band nominations?
